Flashback Friday ~ A Beautiful Afternoon at Point Pelee Park

I have been blogging for 9 years and lately, I have been wanting to share some old posts from the archives of my blogs..which is where Flashback Fridays come in!

The post I am sharing with you today is from March 2010.

Our little family and our dog Orion had gone on a little day trip to Point Pelee National Park. This was when we lived in South Western Ontario, near Windsor. We visited this area several times while we lived there. I remember wanting to find nature and fresh air often while living in that part of the province. The kids and I visited different nature areas regularly, and sometimes my husband came along too.

Celeste was 5 years old, Andre was 11, and Adrienne was 12.

I had a lot of photos to share in this post, and a little text. I always thought it fascinating that we stood on the same 42nd parallel than Rome!

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did looking back at them!

We spent a lovely afternoon at Point Pelee National Park yesterday. The weather was perfect, sunny, not windy, and about 14 degrees Celsius. The kids took part in a short scavenger hunt put on by the park rangers. They had to find the clues and answer questions by reading the information page inside the clue boxes. Each box led them to the next clue as well. They had a lot of fun finding those!

We took a foot path trail to the Tip. The "Tip" is the most mainland southern point in Canada.

We crossed the 42nd parallel north to get to the Tip. This particular circle of latitude also passes the border of California and Oregon, the island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea, Spain, the Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea. You can see a full list here.
